Groove Station - When it comes to music and partying!
Dance Classics, Funk, Soul, Disco and R&B
Groove Station
Groove Station got founded in 1999 by singer Anita Sudano and guitarist Herbert van Brug just because they wanted to play music again.
The last couple of years Groove Station grew to be one of the best and well-known cover bands at home and abroad and played on all kinds of parties like grand weddings, gala evenings, birthday parties, (international) open-air music festivals, music bars, impressive and high-end corporate events, student parties and so on.
Almost every band member studied at a conservatory of music. The band is also asked to accompany different artists on a regular basis.

Due to perfect orchestrations and a tight playing rhythm section supported by the perfect and also tight horn section the songs of icons like Tower of Power and Earth Wind and Fire sound like as if they were played by the originals. Together with Anita Sudano her vocal cords made out of titanium you might think Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Tamia, Mariah Carey, Gladys Knight and Donna Summer are back on stage again!
Line-up
Groove Station
The standard line-up consists of 8 musicians.
But. For an even bigger and more orchestral sound a slide trombone, an additional female vocals and / or percussion player can be added.
For sound reinforcement and lighting of the band we work with a vast team of sound and light engineers. This brings efficiency in build-up and strip-down times, and a fine show with perfect sound and lighting.

We also provide support in organizing events and help out in choosing other acts like DJs and artists.

Herbert van Brug - Guitar and backing vocals

Herbert got his musical blood from the Indonesian roots of his mother's family and grew up with Krontjong, Indo Rock, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles and Elvis. After guitar lessons in pop music he studied classical music for a few years in preparation for the conservatory. After all he became a prey to the Rock 'n Roll. Besides playing guitar he takes care of a vast amount of the backing vocal parts. You probably know him as being the driving force behind the band Run for Cover. Before that he played in Ge's formation and Sister Moon.
